Prophylactic Braces & Knee Support
Find your bands, straps, braces, and sleeves to prevent future injury and reduce severity of past injuries to the knee. These products are most commonly used by athletes who play contact sports or are regularly jumping.
Patella Knee Bands & Straps
Knee bands (also known as knee straps) help relieve pressure on the patellar tendon in the knee. These bands prevent knee pain and injury from stress on the knee, and are often worn by athletes with past injuries wear knee straps or jumpers knee bands to help.
Knee sleeves are often worn by athletes and offer support, but they do not function the same way a brace would. Knee sleeves do not offer the same type of protection to stabilize the knee, but support your knee.
Patella Stabilizing Knee Braces
These products are designed to support knee injuries and relieve knee pain during daily and sporting activities. These products help with runner’s knee, patellar tendonitis (jumper’s knee), or acute knee pain with a strap or band bracing. They are easy to wear and offer comfortable, place effective pressure on the knee to help alleviate pain.
Rehabilitative Knee Braces
These knee braces are typically used for a period of weeks post-injury or surgery. Rehabilitative knee braces keep the knee stable but still allow limited movement during healing.
Post-Operative Knee Braces
Post-Operative Knee Braces support your knee and speed up rehabilitation. These are important for long-term recovery and future health, prescribed following major surgeries. These braces allow initial and essential knee immobilization, and are often followed by conversion to full range of motion by the use of functional knee braces.
Functional Knee Braces
Functional Knee Braces are often worn after or in lieu of rehabilitative knee braces. These braces give support to knees that are already injured and are designed to reduce knee instability and reduce risk of injuring a different part of the knee, common in athletes. They are great for reducing rotation following something like ACL injury.
Ligament Knee Braces
After an injury, you may wear a ligament knee brace, especially with contact sports, if you have a more severe ligament-related knee injury.
Soft-Hinged Knee Braces
After an injury has healed, wear a soft-hinged knee support to help continue healing and prevent future injuries. IOCDME’s selection of soft-hinged knee braces are milder versions of the more rigid and supportive ligament knee braces.
Un-Loader/Off-Loader Base Knee Braces
These braces are used to relieve knee pain and other knee symptoms for arthritis. They're also helpful for people who are waiting for knee replacement surgery and want to take stress of their knees beforehand.
Osteoarthritis Knee Braces
These braces are specifically for people who suffer from medial compartment knee osteoarthritis. Osteoarthritis Braces are designed to unload stress from affected joint by placing pressure on thigh bone.
